LCR Honda rider Randy de Puniet hit a patch of bad luck when he crashed at the German GP last weekend. As if crashing was not enough he was hit by another rider and due to this he broke his left leg. Randy was rushed to hospital and after surgery he was up and about. His spirit is high and he hopes to be back at Brno.

Randy, we at drmoto.com.my and all followers pray for your fast and complete recovery.’

MotoGP: Puniet Finished 4th.

MotoGP: Puniet Finished 4th at Catalunya

Team LCR Honda Moto GP rider Randy De Puniet rode to his best placing this season by finishing 4th. in the 25 lap Catalunya Grand Prix. Despite the heat that saw the thermometer hiting 35 degree C Puniet did extremely well.

With the 4 th placing Puniet now is in 5th position in the championship with 69 points.

MotoGP: Zulfahmi Got 1st Point

Malaysia’s only representative at the MotoGP Mohd Zulfahmi Khairuddin got his first championship point at the Catalunya Motorcycle Grand Prix in Spain on 4 July 2010.

Except for 1 DNF Zulfahmi seemed to have improved with each race. Zulfahmi got his point by getting 15th place in the 125cc event.

The modest Zulfahmi attributed his 15th place partly to the heat at Catalunya. It felt like home, he was quoted as saying. However those who have been following Zulfahmi’s progress will surely agree that the has improved. We pray that Zulfahmi will continue to improve.

Pesanan untuk Zulfahmi

05 April 2010

MotoGP 1,000cc for 2012

5 January 2010

MotoGP 1,000cc for 2012

FIM , the controlling body for motorsports has announced that for the 2012 season the maximum capacity for MotoGP is 1000 cc with a maximum of 4 cylinder and a bore of 81mm ( 4 cylinders). Further details will be made known soon.

Were the MotoGP not running a 1000 cc limit a few years back? Yes , it was 1000 cc before the FIM decided to change to 800 cc maximum. Among the reasons then was that tyre was a problem.
I am not sure if that’s not a problem anymore or why the change upwards.

We will have to wait for further details.
